## Description

This job description reflects potential openings for the Summer 2027 Co-op/Internship Session (May-August) at American Honda Motor Company.

The Information Technology/Data Analytics Co-op/Intern will work in various departments, including Project & IT Services Support, Manufacturing & Production Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Science & Simulation, and Reporting & Communication.

Responsibilities:

- Support project planning and execution

- Participate in weekly project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders

- Interface with business partners to identify reporting, data, and system requirements

- Assist in the design, creation, and distribution of standardized reporting and documentation

- Support the development of operational standards, procedures, and training materials for project implementation

- Ensure reporting and documentation align with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements

- Collaborate with manufacturing departments and production control teams to develop reports supporting departmental and plant-level initiatives

- Work with production leadership and management to understand data needs for project rollouts and operational decisions

- Create and maintain production associate reporting tools and documentation within ISO frameworks

- Support implementation of manufacturing projects through data analysis, reporting, and training support

- Collect, organize, and analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, correlations, and improvement opportunities

- Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis, machine learning, and simulation

- Conduct computational modeling and simulations to predict material, part, or system behavior and performance

- Provide data-driven insights to design, testing, and new model development teams

- Evaluate current business and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation or coding-based solutions

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical and modeling results into product development and operational decision-making

- Summarize analytical findings in clear, concise reports and dashboards

- Present results and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership

- Translate technical and analytical findings into actionable business insights

Requirements:

- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

- General Business Coursework

- Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher

- Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above

- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week

- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

- Valid U.S. Driver's License

- Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day
