Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

**Day In The Life:**

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.

**Responsibilities:**

- Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives

- Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance

- Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed

- Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

**Requirements:**

- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law

- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Prior experience in the long-term care industry

- Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting

- PTCB National Certification
