## Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Lisbon. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities.

**Main Goals**

- Ensure accurate financial results for local legal entities and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities

- Prepare statutory filings and manage local tax matters

- Support transfer pricing document preparation in cooperation with tax consultants

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and accurate reconciliations

- Liaise with AP and AR Shared Services Centres to ensure smooth operations

- Provide assistance to local management on finance and tax projects

- Collaborate with internal and external auditors on accounting and tax issues

**Key Responsibilities**

- Supervise monthly closures and reconciliations

- Prepare and close statutory financial statements and group packages in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP

- Control VAT and corporate tax requirements

- Interact with shared service centres for accounting and administration issues

- Update and optimize administrative-financial processes and procedures

**About You**

- Degree in Business Administration or similar in Accounting and Finance

- Minimum 4 years' experience in a responsibility role in a modern structured and international company

- Proactive approach, organisational capacity, problem-solving skills, and leadership experience

- Good knowledge of tax legislation and general accounting of financial statements in local GAAP and US GAAP

- Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese; Spanish an advantage

- Good knowledge of Great Plains and Office package, particularly Excel at an advanced level

- Inclusive working style and effective communication skills essential
