You will engineer the future with Synopsys, the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems. As an Applications Engineering, Sr Staff Engineer (STA, Primetime), you will drive PrimeTime adoption and deployment at customer sites, lead technical evaluations, provide hands-on support, develop and deliver technical training, collaborate with R&D, and build and maintain TCL-based automation scripts.

You have spent years deep in the timing closure trenches, and you know that the difference between a chip that tapes out on schedule and one that slips six months often comes down to someone who understands both the tool and the real design problem underneath. You have seen PrimeTime from every angle: competitive evals, tape-out firefights, and strategic conversations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Driving PrimeTime adoption and deployment at customer sites

- Leading technical evaluations that demonstrate PrimeTime's advantages

- Providing hands-on support during critical design phases

- Developing and delivering technical training on PrimeTime workflows

- Collaborating with R&D to communicate customer requirements

- Building and maintaining TCL-based automation scripts and methodologies

You will need:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC design or EDA applications

- Deep working knowledge of Synopsys PrimeTime

- Strong understanding of timing concepts

- Proficiency in TCL scripting

- Familiarity with the broader digital design flow

- Excellent communication skills

- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
