## Description

Spire Manchester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Host and Catering Assistant to join our friendly and experienced hospitality team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will help prepare and deliver a high standard of food and beverage service to patients, visitors, consultants, and colleagues throughout the hospital.

**Responsibilities**

- Assisting with the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages to the required standards.

- Serving food and refreshments to patients, colleagues, consultants, and visitors in the restaurant and on hospital wards.

- Engaging with patients and making them aware of the food and beverage options available to meet their individual needs.

- Taking food and beverage orders while carefully following special dietary requirements and individual requests.

- Maintaining effective stock control through stock rotation, date checking, and ensuring packaging remains intact.

- Following all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations, as well as the hospital's catering procedures.

- Undertaking general cleaning and washing-up duties within the kitchen and other catering areas.

- Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

**Requirements**

- Previous experience working in a catering or hospitality environment.

- Good communication and organisational skills.

- Excellent customer service skills.

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- A caring, considerate, and professional approach.

- The flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the department.
