## Description

Leidos is seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, VA. The SSO will perform security duties and assignments in support of ACC Wing SCI security programs.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines.

- Ensure SCI is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded.

- Ensure SCI is destroyed by authorized means.

- Ensure SCI is disseminated only to persons authorized access to the material and having an established need-to-know.

- Investigate SCI security infractions and make recommendations.

- Maintain continuing liaison with collateral security officials.

- Conduct SCI personnel, information, physical, and technical security actions.

- Provide security awareness trainings as required.

- Perform all aspects of the SCI Personnel Security Program.

- Serve as the official channel for certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses.

- Maintain the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).

- Provide guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests.

- Process derogatory information concerning SCI indoctrinated individuals.

- Assist in providing overall physical security for SCI Facilities (SCIFs).

Requirements:

- Current TS/SCI security clearance.

- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years (or Associate's and 6+ years) of relevant experience.

- Experience working with SCI in all security disciplines.

- Ability to work independently in an operational environment.

- Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 704, ICD 705, and Technical Specifications.

- Ability to gather facts and use analytical and evaluative methods.

Nice to Have:

- Completed a formal SSO certification training and a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) physical security course within the last five years.

- Additional security experience.

Salary Range: $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
