## Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

The Air Dominance and Strike Aerostructures Engineering Team is responsible for designing and analyzing advanced structural parts for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms.

As the Engineer, Manager - MRB/Sustainment, you will:

- Lead and grow a team of MRB analysis and sustainment design engineers responsible for dispositioning non-conformances and releasing repair solutions for metallic and composite structures on Group 5 air vehicles

- Own the end-to-end health of the MRB system , from non-conformance intake and structural substantiation through repair drawing release and production closure , ensuring the team meets schedule, quality, and airworthiness requirements

- Hire, mentor, and develop analysis and design engineers, including establishing a path to MRB signature/delegated authority for team members

- Set technical standards and review complex or high-risk dispositions and repair designs, acting as an escalation point for the most difficult non-conformances

- Partner with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Materials & Processes (M&P), and Program Management to prioritize work, resolve cross-functional blockers, and protect production schedule

- Drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA) programs to reduce recurring non-conformances, rework, and scrap across the production line

- Build and continuously improve MRB processes, tools, and standard work to scale the team as production rates increase

- Report on team throughput, non-conformance trends, and open risk to engineering and program leadership

- Balance team workload across analysis and design disciplines, ensuring tight hand-offs between disposition and repair drawing release

Requirements:

- Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

- 8+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, design, or liaison engineering, with direct MRB or non-conformance disposition experience

- 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineers, either as a people manager or in a senior technical leadership capacity

- Strong understanding of structural substantiation (static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance) and structural repair design for metallic and composite structures

- Demonstrated ability to set technical standards and review others' work across both analysis and design disciplines

- Excellent cross-functional communication skills , able to represent the team to Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and senior engineering leadership

- Self-driven with strong autonomy and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

- Ability to travel up to 25% to vendors, production, and test sites as needed to support hardware builds and troubleshoot issues directly

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior MRB signature/delegated authority on a production aerospace program

- Experience standing up or scaling an MRB function in a high-rate or rapidly scaling production environment

- Familiarity with military airworthiness and structural substantiation standards (e.g., MIL-HDBK-5, MIL-STD-1530)

- Experience with both finite element analysis tools (NASTRAN or equivalent) and CAD/repair drawing tools (Siemens NX or equivalent)

- Background in design-for-manufacturability, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement for complex assemblies

- Broad experience across a range of aircraft or missile programs

- Hands-on experience in an aircraft manufacturing or depot repair environment
