## Description

As a Principal Associate, Data Science at Capital One, you will partner with a cross-functional team to deliver products customers love. You will leverage a broad stack of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark, to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of data. Your responsibilities will include building machine learning models, translating complex work into tangible business goals, and collaborating with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, innovative, creative, a leader, technical, statistically-minded, and a data guru. You should have experience with open-source languages, cloud computing platforms, and data science solutions.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field, plus relevant experience in data analytics. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in a STEM field, experience with AWS, Python, Scala, or R, machine learning, and SQL.

This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive set of benefits, including health, financial, and other perks.

The salary range for this role varies by location: McLean, VA ($161,800 - $184,600), New York, NY ($176,500 - $201,400), Richmond, VA ($147,100 - $167,900).
