## Description

We are seeking a Traffic Dispatcher to manage the day-to-day organisation of operations in our depot.

As a Traffic Dispatcher, you will be responsible for allocating and routing vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance.

Your core responsibilities will include:

- Optimising routes and vehicle utilisation to deliver top-class service.

- Managing driver availability and ensuring compliance with regulations.

- Overseeing vehicle checks, safety, and maintenance.

- Handling admin tasks like payroll, timesheets, tachograph records, and reporting.

- Driving cost-efficiency by analysing depot data and improving operations.

You will also have the opportunity to get hands-on with employee engagement and improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Knowledge of the local area.

- The ability to plan, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines.

- A solutions-driven mindset and a knack for problem-solving.

- Customer-focused, engaging and supporting a diverse customer base.

- Proficiency with business software and MS Office (especially Excel).

- Experience in administration, call handling, or a time-critical environment is a plus.
