## Description

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector for their Power Constructors, Inc. (PCI) sector in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position involves inspecting high voltage substations and transmission lines to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Perform field inspections on construction projects of moderate scale and complexity

- Examine and evaluate the placement of concrete, installation of underground pipelines, earthwork, and electrical installations

- Generate accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project

- Ensure that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in a related discipline with prior construction inspection experience

- Computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel

- Essential professional licensure/certification(s)

- Valid state driver's license

- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a closely related discipline

- Knowledge of transmission line work, foundations, and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work up to 12 hour days, 5 to 6 days a week

- Able and willing to travel and stay for a minimum of 6 weeks at a time for a project

- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions

- Must be able to wear company-provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite

- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs or more at any given time throughout the day
