## Description

We are seeking a Principal, Associate or Associate Director Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to join our team in Bristol or Cardiff. As an Electrical Engineer, you will have a proven track record in leading projects and teams, and be able to provide design and technical advice on a wide range of projects.

You will work in a joint leadership capacity within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) discipline team, providing design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach. You will be able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of your discipline, and be able to work under the clear direction of the client.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading projects and teams

- Providing design and technical advice

- Supervising the completion of detailed designs

- Reviewing design programmes and ensuring sufficient resource is available

- Considering the feasibility of projects and leading feasibility studies

- Taking responsibility for producing detailed and performance specifications

You will be joining a team with a strong forward workload and opportunities for career progression. Our Bristol office offers easy commuting options via Bristol Temple Meads Train Station, and our Cardiff office offers easy commuting options via Cardiff Central and Queen Street Train Station.

**Key Technical Requirements:**

- Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline

- Working understanding of latest electrical design software packages

- Understanding of Revit MEP or other 3D design software

- Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD

- Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)

**Electrical Skills:**

- Cable calculations

- Lighting calculations

- Fire alarms

- Intruder detection

- Access control & security systems

- Disabled call systems

- Data cabling and outlets

- Lightning protection

**Qualifications:**

- BEng/Bsc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline

- CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership

- Working towards I Eng or C Eng status

- RevitMEP training applied to the discipline
