## Description

We are seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Croft House Care Home in Great Dunmow. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.

Croft House is an elegant and spacious home situated within a leafy suburb close to Stansted Airport. The home is set in stunning, well-maintained gardens and is also situated within walking distance of the main high street of Great Dunmow, which is ideal for residents to get out and about.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will:

- Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents

- Assist the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy

- Monitor stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines

- Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen

- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with the wider kitchen and care home teams
