## Description

As a Duty Engineer at Marriott International in Hong Kong, you will respond to and attend to guest repair requests, communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

- Responding to guest repair requests and resolving maintenance issues

- Performing preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment

- Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines

- Carrying equipment such as tools and radios

- Identifying, locating, and operating all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings

- Maintaining maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed

- Communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts

- Displaying basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and more

- Performing surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and cleanup

- Testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on equipment and electrical components

- Programming TVs and performing general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties

- Following company and safety policies and procedures

- Reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries

- Completing safety training and certifications

- Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance

- Welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs

- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others

Requirements:

- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent

- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting

- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus

- Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

- Related work experience in engineering or maintenance
