### Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product-Led Growth team at Toast. You will drive end-to-end development of backend services that power in-product growth experiences, including eligibility, targeting, offer delivery, self-serve purchase, activation, and conversion tracking.

### Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain production backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language

- Build shared infrastructure for reusable targeting and eligibility services, campaign configuration, and purchase flows

- Evolve integrations with systems like propensity scores, Toast IQ recommendations, and CMS-driven campaign controls

- Design experimentation and attribution instrumentation for clear measurement stories

- Partner with product, design, marketing, sales, and data science to translate business goals into product changes

- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions and help set engineering standards

- Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance

### Requirements

- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and maintaining production backend systems

- Proven ability to own features end-to-end through design, launch, measurement, and iteration

- Product-minded builder with experience in experimentation, A/B testing, or growth engineering

- Experience building on LLMs or AI platforms, in production or in side projects

- Comfortable with ambiguity and making tradeoffs between speed and scale

### Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration two days per week in our Dublin office.
