## Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in North Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day financial control, statutory reporting, and governance activities for BBC Studios' ANZ operations.

The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the Finance Manager, ANZ, and will be responsible for managing the Actuals & Reporting finance function. Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting and coordinating the ANZ financial close and reporting process

- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the ANZ financial statements and general ledger

- Providing analysis, interpretation, and variance commentary of ANZ results

- Preparing annual statutory financial statements for all required ANZ entities

- Managing the day-to-day performance of the outsourced provider team supporting ANZ Finance

- Supporting the ANZ payroll process and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements

- Implementing and monitoring the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and broader governance framework across ANZ

The ideal candidate will have:

- A degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline

- A professional accounting qualification, preferably CA

- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with a broad range of reporting, reconciliation, and workflow tools

- Strong technical accounting and financial control skills, with sound knowledge of IFRS

- Strong knowledge of ANZ statutory reporting, taxation, and regulatory requirements

- At least five years' relevant financial accounting experience
