## Description

We are seeking an Instrument Coordinator to join the team at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington. This bank role works on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

The successful candidate will oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals where required. They will ensure all instruments are clean, functional, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner to meet daily theatre schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation

- Ensuring all instruments are clean, functional, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner

- Assisting in the ordering, rotation, and replenishment of theatre consumables

- Supporting the theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services

- Working closely with theatre practitioners, sterile services, procurement, and external providers

- Ensuring all instrumentation handling complies with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory guidelines

Applicants should have experience working within a theatre environment or clinical support role, strong organisational skills, and a basic understanding of infection control, instrument handling, and decontamination processes.

Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.70.
