## Description

Airwallex is looking for an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to support its fast-growing commercial legal team across EMEA.

The successful candidate will support a complex set of fintech products, drive complex deals, and act as a strategic partner to Airwallex's EMEA go-to-market Commercial team.

Responsibilities:

- Drive complex deals, leading negotiations on high-stakes enterprise commercial and strategic partnership deals across EMEA

- Build for scale, developing and implementing an innovative strategy for delivering efficient and effective commercial legal support

- Be a strategic partner, advising the Commercial team to scale go-to-market efforts and advance multi-product and multi-jurisdictional deal strategies

- Enhance Efficiency, leveraging technology, automation, and data-driven insights to increase the efficiency and impact of the Commercial Legal function

- Collaborate Globally, working closely with Airwallex's global legal, compliance, and risk teams on deals and projects involving multiple jurisdictions

- Contribute to Culture, making a positive contribution to the culture of the Airwallex legal team, the EMEA team, and the company as a whole

Requirements:

- 5-8 years of legal experience, with experience in private practice at a top law firm

- Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and writing skills

- Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences and manage multiple projects and deals

- High motivation and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

- Collaborative and empathetic mindset, with a good sense of humor and ability to work effectively with colleagues from different teams and backgrounds

Nice-to-haves:

- Experience at a fintech or in the banking industry or high-growth company

- Experience drafting and negotiating technology transactions, SaaS agreements, and other customer-facing services agreements

- French, German, or Spanish language skills
