## Description

We are looking for a Financial Bookkeeper to join our finance team. As a Financial Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for keeping our books accurate across several entities and countries, and helping our finance team close faster and with fewer surprises.

## Your role

You’ll own the day-to-day bookkeeping across our entities and countries, from invoices and reconciliations to month-end closing and VAT. You’ll work closely with a small finance team and with our ops colleagues, who rely on you for questions about payments and billing.

## What you will do

- Process purchase and sales invoices and prepare payments.

- Keep the ledgers accurate and up to date with timely journal entries.

- Reconcile bank accounts, payroll and intercompany balances.

- Prepare VAT returns and support other tax submissions.

- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.

- Prepare information for our external auditors.

- Support ops team members with ad-hoc questions about payments and billing.

- Spot opportunities to make processes simpler and more reliable, and suggest improvements.

## Who you are

- You have a bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or a vocational/bachelor’s background in finance: Dutch or international.

- You have at least two years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.

- You’re comfortable with Excel and accounting software. Experience with Exact Online is a plus.

- You work accurately, stay organised and pay attention to detail.

- You can work independently, are comfortable asking questions and are proactive in flagging issues before month-end.

- You communicate clearly in English, both in writing and in conversation.
