## Description

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging the approved supplier list.

- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off tables, should-cost models, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.

- Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.

- Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.

- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.

- Complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.

- Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production.

- Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.

- Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.

- Manage ad-hoc cost issues, such as tariffs and import/export costs.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.

- 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.

- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.

- Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on program needs.

- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.

- Experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices.

- Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing managers.

- Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.).

- Early supplier engagement.

- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

- Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
