## Description

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to business and finance leaders across WSP.

The successful candidate will provide insightful financial analysis, reporting, and advice to support strategic and operational decision-making. This 12-month contract role involves working closely with finance, operational, and client program teams to connect financial performance with broader business priorities, identify opportunities and risks, and support the delivery of sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Partnering with business and finance leaders to understand strategic priorities, operational drivers, and financial performance.

- Providing timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for assigned business areas.

- Performing variance and trend analysis, identifying underlying business drivers, and working with stakeholders to develop appropriate actions.

- Developing and maintaining management reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that clearly communicate financial and operational results.

- Supporting business cases, investment decisions, and other strategic initiatives through robust financial modelling and analysis.

- Collaborating across functions to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and relevance of financial information.

- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and analytical tools, and contributing directly to the implementation of practical solutions.

- Communicating complex financial information in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

- Taking ownership of key deliverables and contributing flexibly to priority initiatives and demanding assignments as business needs evolve.

Requirements include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, business partnering, management reporting, or a related finance role.

- Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to translate detailed analysis into meaningful business insights and recommendations.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or other data visualization and financial systems is an asset.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, combined with the ability to maintain perspective on broader business objectives.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and straightforward manner.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to building trusted relationships across functions and levels of the organization.

- Proactive and dependable approach, with the confidence to take ownership of work from analysis through execution.

- Adaptable and results-oriented mindset, with the judgment and willingness to contribute where needed in a dynamic environment.

In terms of compensation, the salary range for this position varies by location:

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $106,800 - $141,400

- MB & ON: $97,400 - $134,100

- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $96,400 - $128,100
