## Description

As a Senior Engineer in HV cables, you will design, install, and maintain high voltage cable systems. You will lead projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. Your role includes collaborating with teams, conducting site assessments, and providing technical expertise to ensure reliable and efficient HV cable networks. Senior Engineer will provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects.

## Responsibilities

- Design, manufacture, and test HV cables for use in HVAC and HVDC projects both onshore and offshore;

- Lead projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards;

- Collaborate with teams, conduct site assessments, and provide technical expertise;

- Prepare, review, and validate Technical Proposals from Transmission & Distribution projects;

- Use Cable Modelling Software 'CYMCAP' for technical documents and calculations;

- Select Bonding Systems, Earth Continuity Cables & Co-Axial Cables, and perform short circuit calculations;

- Witness 3rd party cable activities such as testing, installation, and transportation;

- Attain or work towards Chartered Engineer status.

## Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering;

- Five to ten years of experience in cable design, HV cable system design, and related fields;

- Experience with IEC cable standards, CIGRE technical policies, and CYMCAP software;

- Skills in project management, installation, testing, maintenance, and quality control checks;

- Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.

- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
