## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef to join our team at Norewood Lodge Care Home in Portishead. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive delicious and nutritious meals that cater to their dietary needs and preferences.

**Job Summary:** You will work in our kitchen team to prepare and cook meals for our residents, using fresh ingredients and following dietary requirements. You will also help manage the kitchen team, order supplies, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

**Responsibilities:**

- Create varied and nutritional menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents

- Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving food

- Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, and procedures

- Cater for special events and seasonal activities

- Put forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents

**Requirements:**

- Previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen

- Relevant hygiene certificates

- Passion for cooking and delivering excellent dining experiences

- Ability to communicate effectively with others
