## Description

You will join the Customer Delivery South team within Cisco Customer Experience (CX) as a Customer Delivery Engineer. The team provides support to public sector clients and requires an extensive background check process or security clearance.

Your Impact: You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Senior Consulting Engineers, Customer Operations, Field Teams, CX Project Managers, and Global CX Communities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hands-on Staging & Lab Validation: Assist in pre-deployment staging, initial device bootstrapping, firmware standardization, cabling verification, and base configuration loading on Cisco Catalyst switches and ISR/Catalyst routers.

- Execution of Method of Procedure (MOP): Execute step-by-step MOPs under the mentorship of senior consulting engineers during scheduled change windows.

- Core Routing & Switching Configuration: Configure and test fundamental Layer 2 and Layer 3 network features.

- Secondary Skills Exposure & Growth: Build practical hands-on exposure in at least one secondary technical domain.

- Network Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Support: Utilize standard diagnostic tools to isolate connectivity issues.

- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Draft accurate as-built network diagrams and operational handover summaries.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent technical diploma).

- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in network operations, staging, field engineering, NOC, or systems integration.

- Solid Routing & Switching Foundation: Strong conceptual understanding and practical command of core networking protocols.

- Hands-on Equipment Exposure: Practical familiarity with Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco routers.

- Language Fluency: Native/Fluent Italian speaker with solid Professional Working English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Data Center (DC Basics / ACI / VXLAN): Introductory knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches.

- Network Security: Understanding of basic firewall concepts.

- Excellent communication and strategic planning skills.

The starting salary range for this position is €42,300.00 to €55,200.00.
