## Description

Working as a Target Security Specialist means helping to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure. You will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and resolve theft and fraud, and respond to crisis events. As a Security Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

- Providing a welcoming and secure shopping experience for guests

- Responding to security incidents and documenting them accurately

- Using de-escalation tactics to resolve conflicts

- Conducting merchandise receipt checks and preventing theft

- Working with team members and law enforcement to build relationships and prevent crime

- Using Target's video surveillance system and case management systems

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

To succeed in this role, you should:

- Enjoy interacting with guests and team members

- Be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Be able to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays

In terms of qualifications, you will need:

- A high school diploma or equivalent

- To be at least 18 years old

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in varying temperatures and environments

The starting hourly rate is $20.25 USD per hour, with a pay range of $20.25 - $30.40 USD per hour.
