## Description

We are seeking a Customer and Trading Manager to lead our small supermarket team in Hawick, Roxburghshire. As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing a team of employees.

**Job Responsibilities:**

- Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.

- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager in with accountability for the full shop.

- Work alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.

- Manage performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries, and ensure scheduling and pay are accurate.

- Collaborate with nearby stores as needed.

**Requirements:**

- Previous line management experience in a fast-paced, operational environment.

- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and coaching colleagues.

- Experience in leading a team in a customer-facing environment.

- Ability to manage disciplinaries, performance issues, and employee relations.

- Operational leadership skills, with experience taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers.
