## Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Ground and Water (Contaminated Land) team in India.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and coaching team members in the GCC Ground & Water Team, including day-to-day management of a team, delivery of projects, and line management and mentoring of more junior staff.

The Team Leader will be responsible for both technical and commercial delivery of projects, including effective delegation and checking of work.

Responsibilities:

- Leadership of projects and line management of staff, including supporting career development goals of junior staff

- Provision of reliable, effective, and efficient delivery of environmental consultancy services

- Successful and proactive project management of complex projects/tasks

- Technical direction, including robust reviews of technical work prepared by others

- Building strong relationships with WSP UK teams

- Preparation of fee proposals for complex and technically challenging projects

- Managing multiple projects/proposals simultaneously

- Promoting health, safety, and wellbeing culture

- Accurate and efficient preparation of complex reports

- Effective delegation of project tasks

- Preparation and self-checking of interpretative reports

- Developing specialist skills in line with career aspirations

- Taking ownership of own training path

Qualifications:

- Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering related discipline

- Masters degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering related discipline desirable

- Extensive experience (15 years+) working with an Environmental Consultancy or similar company

- Chartered with a British institution (such as The Geological Society) or working towards it
