## Description

The Harbour Hospital in Poole is seeking a Materials Assistant to join their team on a bank shifts basis. The successful candidate will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

The Materials Assistant will be an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day-to-day running of the department. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers

- Ensuring stock availability through correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments

- Maintaining all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness, and availability

- Complying with all relevant mandatory training

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- A minimum of GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent

- Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

- Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision

- Customer service skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
