## Description

Epiq is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - AI Solutions with strong expertise in Full Stack Software Development, Cloud Technologies, Data Engineering, and modern AI application development.

This is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced software developer who can independently design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions while contributing to the development of AI-powered products and capabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, APIs, and services.

- Own the end-to-end delivery of software features and components from design through deployment and support.

- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architecture discussions and technology decisions.

- Develop and maintain microservices, integrations, and reusable software frameworks.

- Build cloud-native applications leveraging modern development frameworks and engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Design and implement data integrations, pipelines, and services that support business and AI initiatives.

- Conduct code reviews and champion software quality, maintainability, security, and performance standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Mentor Associate Software Engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance product capabilities and engineering efficiency.

**AI Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered application features and services for production environments.

- Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions utilizing enterprise knowledge sources and vector databases.

- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI services into business applications and workflows.

- Implement prompt engineering strategies, AI testing methodologies, and evaluation frameworks to improve solution quality and reliability.

- Design semantic search, document intelligence, and AI-assisted automation capabilities.

- Collaborate with data engineers and solution architects to ensure data quality, accessibility, and effective AI solution deployment.

- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI application performance, accuracy, and user adoption.

- Apply security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI principles throughout the AI development lifecycle.

- Contribute to the adoption of AI engineering best practices, reusable frameworks, and development standards across projects.

**Requirements / Skills**

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.

- Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Python and/or Java.

- Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.

- Experience building modern user interfaces using React or similar front-end technologies.

- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and API integration patterns.

- Experience working with Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS cloud platforms.

- Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure DevOps, containerization, and automated deployments.

- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, testing methodologies, and secure development practices.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
