## Description

We are seeking a Patient Registration Representative to join our team at Intermountain Health Heber Valley Hospital or Intermountain Health Park City Hospital. As a Patient Registration Representative, you will be responsible for registering patients in multiple service lines, gathering and verifying demographic, financial, and clinical information.

**Schedule:** Monday - Friday, business hours, closed on Thursdays

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Verify accuracy of EMPI link and report possible identity theft

- Interact with patients or representatives to gather and verify registration information

- Input patient demographic, insurance, and admission information into a database

- Explain legal documents in accordance with regulatory requirements

- Articulate billing process information and provide way-finding as needed

- Hold financial discussions with patients or representatives, including insurance benefits and financial obligations

- Communicate effectively with patients and representatives regarding wait times

- Verify patient identity and scan documents as needed

**Requirements:**

- 1 year of customer service experience within the last 5 years

- 1 year of negotiation or collection experience within the last 3 years

- Experience working effectively in time-sensitive situations and handling multiple priorities

- Keyboarding and computer skills

- Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Bi-lingual Spanish speaking

- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology

- 1 year of data entry or clerical experience in a medical office setting within the last 3 years

- Strong experience using EPIC
