## Description

Join MUFG as an Assistant Vice President, Financial Accountant in the Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong.

In this role, you will prepare monthly financial statements, including Head Office reporting (J-GAAP, US-GAAP, BASEL III), regulatory reports, and variance analysis. You will also produce monthly management accounts, perform month-end closing activities, and conduct daily account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing monthly financial statements and regulatory reports

- Producing monthly management accounts and performing month-end closing activities

- Conducting daily account reconciliations and following up on outstanding or unusual items

- Maintaining strong internal controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting

- Implementing new accounting standards and ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant regulations

- Supporting ad hoc projects and assignments as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A university degree in accounting

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry

- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting and ability to work independently

- Solid expertise in treasury accounting and global markets products, including FX and derivatives

- Strong analytical skills and sound business acumen

- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

- Attention to detail, deadline-driven, and self-motivated
