## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Cisco in Bangalore, India. As a Software Engineer, you will develop software consistent with Cisco's Design Thinking Principles, focusing on simplification and User Experience (UX) at its core. You will use secure coding practices, ensure user privacy, and follow software development best practices.

You will partner with other teams, including design and product management, to create the right solution for customers. Additionally, you will create technical design documentation for the team and contribute to user documentation for end-users. Debugging and addressing software issues during development and in production systems will also be part of your responsibilities.

As an expert within Cisco, you will proactively identify and participate in resolving complex problems that impact the direction of the business. You will develop and deliver innovative strategies that benefit customers and/or clients, lead major business projects, and contribute to the development of annual organisational objectives/priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing software with a focus on UX and secure coding practices

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create customer solutions

- Creating technical design documentation and contributing to user documentation

- Debugging and addressing software issues

- Identifying and resolving complex problems impacting the business

- Developing and delivering innovative strategies

- Leading major business projects and contributing to organisational objectives

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree + 12 years of related experience, or Master's degree + 8 years of related experience, or PhD + 5 years of related experience

- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in primary job family or field of specialisation
