## Description

Join our Earth & Environment team in Ottawa and build your environmental consulting experience through hands-on field and technical work.

As an Environmental Field Technician, you will conduct environmental field and technical work supporting landfill monitoring, hydrogeologic studies, environmental site assessments, and geotechnical investigations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting environmental field and technical work

- Collecting groundwater and surface water samples and completing field testing

- Supporting drilling and monitoring well installation, soil and rock descriptions, and quality assurance

- Planning and coordinating field programs and water monitoring activities

- Managing environmental data and coordinating project deliverables

Requirements:

- Environmental Technician/Technology diploma or equivalent education in a related discipline

- 3-5 years of environmental consulting experience

- Groundwater and soil sampling experience

- Experience with data management and analytical or statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel and database queries

- Strong technical organization, written communication, and documentation skills

- Ability to organize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively

- A strong foundation in health and safety practices and comfort completing outdoor fieldwork year-round in varying weather conditions

- A valid Class "G" Driver's Licence
