### Description

## Playground Games is looking for an Experienced Motion Designer to join our Fable team on a contract basis.

### About us:

As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are making games that are accessible, beautiful, and fun. We are rebooting the Fable franchise and expanding our team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.

### About the role:

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Motion Designer to join our Community & Media team. You will play a key role in producing high-impact visual content that engages our player community across social platforms, trailers and in-game promotional assets. Your expertise will span motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, and supporting community-driven campaigns.

This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.

### What you’ll do:

- Design and animate motion graphics for trailers, social content, livestream overlays, and community campaigns.

- Capture and edit high-quality game footage and screenshots from various platforms (Console, PC, in-engine).

- Collaborate closely with the directors, capture artists, and developers to stage, compose, and capture compelling game material.

- Edit and produce engaging video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for both internal and external purposes.

- Develop storyboards, visual concepts, and 2D art assets for video and motion content.

- Apply strong graphic design principles to all visual outputs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.

- Work with the team to define and maintain the visual style of marketing and community assets.

- Review and refine video, motion, and graphic content based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring high standards of quality and alignment with creative vision.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in motion design, gaming, and digital media.

### What you’ll bring:

- Proven experience in motion design, graphic design, or post-production within the games, entertainment, or creative industries.

- Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.

- Solid understanding of animation principles, typography, visual storytelling, and 2D art.

- Demonstrated ability to create high-quality 2D art and graphic design assets for digital media.

- Experience creating assets for social media, YouTube, and community platforms.

- Highly skilled in game capture, cinematography, lighting, and editorial.

- Familiarity with cinematic or sequencing tools (Unreal, Unity, Motion Builder, etc.) is a plus.

- Ability to take constructive feedback and incorporate it into revisions.

- A portfolio showcasing motion design, graphic design, and 2D artwork relevant to gaming or entertainment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a world-class game with an established, talented, and collaborative team at one of the industry’s most exciting first-party game studios.
