## Description

As a Senior Structural Engineer - Building Structures at WSP, you will undertake structural engineering design for discrete packages of work, including production of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.

You will supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate structural engineering solutions.

Collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams will be essential to produce coordinated design solutions.

You will also communicate design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing, and presentations.

Site visits during the construction phase will be required to carry out inspections and assess existing structures.

The role involves reporting directly to the lead structural engineer for projects and engaging with multidisciplinary design teams, including external consultants.

Requirements include:

- An engineering degree and progression towards Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE)

- Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and application of Eurocodes

- Developing understanding of analytical techniques and design software

- Interest in low carbon design and assessment of embodied carbon in design solutions

- Willingness to take responsibility for designs, be proactive, and support less experienced team members

Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
