## Description

We are seeking a Finance Associate, Engineering Finance to join our team.

As a Finance Associate, Engineering Finance, you will own development and production cost estimations for new products ranging in maturity from concept to in development. You will partner with leadership and teams from across the business to translate engineering problems into quantitative measures and partial solutions with a financial lens. Your work will vary from quick-turn analytical problem solving to process and data improvements and building out financial models.

Responsibilities:

- Support projects end-to-end, from Definition, Solution, to Implementation

- Execute scrappy analyses on short timelines to get answers quickly, while also owning more scalable solutions that will make Anduril successful in the long term

- Project manage across many stakeholders

- Work across functions and learn Anduril's business top-to-bottom

- Own detailed should cost models end-to-end

- Build parametric cost models for a variety of products

- Tie entire product life cycle costs together to forecast product business case viability, opportunities, and risks

- Create novel frameworks for establishing a strong “value engineering” muscle

- Establish transparency into material cost for existing and future Anduril products

- Build financial models that help set material cost targets for different products

- Work with the Engineering and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement cost reduction roadmaps

- Help executives think through tradeoffs in product features vs. costs vs. profitability

Requirements:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or engineering role

- Strong understanding of mathematics or model building

- Strong analytical aptitude

- Ability to quickly execute analyses in Excel

- Ability to quantify complex often ambiguous problems

- Deep fascination with the intersection of engineering design and how businesses grow and scale

- Comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work

- Enjoy working at a place where no one minds if you leave early one day to go to an appointment or run an errand, but you also don’t mind responding to Slacks in the evening while you’re watching Netflix

- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of engineering design within one or more of the following: aerospace, software, maritime, or electronics

- Understanding of configuration management principles and how to structure Bill of Materials

- Familiarity with defense standards such as MIL-STD-881 and DOD MRA Frameworks
