Job Purpose

The Senior Recruiter, APAC is responsible for driving end-to-end hiring across Southeast Asia, India, and ANZ, with a focus on delivering high-quality talent into critical roles across the region. Based in Bangkok, this role partners closely with business leaders and HR to translate hiring needs into effective recruitment strategies and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Full Life Cycle Recruitment for Senior & Critical Roles

  • Own and deliver end-to-end recruitment for mid to senior-level roles across multiple functions and geographies
  • Drive hiring outcomes through proactive sourcing, strong candidate assessment, and effective offer management
  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to align hiring priorities with business needs

Regional Talent Acquisition (APAC Focus)

  • Lead recruitment delivery across Southeast Asia, India, and ANZ markets
  • Provide market insights on talent availability, compensation trends, and hiring strategies
  • Adapt sourcing and hiring approaches to local market nuances and cultural dynamics

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, challenging and guiding hiring decisions where needed
  • Build strong, credible relationships with regional and country stakeholders
  • Operate with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and support a geographically dispersed business

Sourcing Strategy & Candidate Engagement

  • Actively headhunt and build pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles using a mix of sourcing channels
  • Engage and assess candidates with a strong focus on both capability and cultural fit
  • Apply a structured and consultative approach to talent mapping and pipeline development

Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Act as a brand ambassador to build Valvoline’s reputation as an “employer of choice” internally and externally
  • Advocate for candidates throughout the hiring process by maintaining communication, transparency, and a positive experience
  • Recommend innovative ideas and implement improvements to enhance the recruitment process and brand presence

Client & Agency Relationship Management

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and HRBPs as a consultative recruiting expert
  • Represent Valvoline at external career events, industry conferences, and university job fairs
  • Manage third-party agency relationships as needed for hard-to-fill or niche roles

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with global employment laws, data privacy, and internal hiring policies
  • Maintain detailed documentation of recruitment activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Facilitate background checks, pre-employment screenings, and offer negotiations

Mentorship & Team Contribution

  • Mentor junior recruiters and recruiting specialists by sharing best practices and offering day-to-day guidance
  • Support TA team initiatives and continuously evaluate recruitment metrics to inform hiring strategies

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze key metrics (e.g., time to fill, offer acceptance, quality of hire, diversity, and candidate experience) to improve outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement in recruitment operations and candidate pipeline development

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of recruiting experience across agency and in-house environments
  • Proven track record hiring across APAC markets, particularly Southeast Asia, India, and ANZ
  • Experience hiring across multiple functions (commercial, technical, operations, corporate)
  • Strong sourcing skills using ATS, CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and other platforms
  • Fluency in Thai and English is required
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Hiring experience within the automotive, lubricants, chemicals, or related industries
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors or similar ATS platforms
  • Ability to operate with pace, ownership, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Comfort working across multiple time zones in a regional role
  • Good understanding of APAC hiring practices and market dynamics
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategy and execution
