## Description

WSP is currently seeking a Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician to support various projects in the Atlanta, GA area.

The successful candidate will perform lab classification and index property testing of soils, density testing of soils, sample and test concrete in the field and lab, and perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data.

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing lab tests and analysis

- Monitoring work procedures for compliance with project specifications

- Travelling within and around 2 hours of the city

- Working independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team

- Maintaining workplace safety and adhering to WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

The ideal candidate will have:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 3+ years of related experience

- Certifications such as ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC concrete reinforcing steel, and ICC masonry

- Valid Driver's License

- Ability to prepare reports and documentation

- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed

- Ability to work in variable outside conditions

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional requirements include passing a drug test, physical, background check and having a satisfactory driving record.
