## Description

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

Under the direction of your preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to give you hands-on experience and an overview of store, district, and regional operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and safe prescription filling, and excellent patient service

- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care, and contributing to a safe and inclusive culture

- Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication

- Completing a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in various areas

- Taking on increasing responsibility for the safety and effectiveness of operations in the pharmacy

Some of the specific tasks you will perform include:

- Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation

- Contributing to positive patient experiences and showing empathy and genuine care

- Offering to counsel patients, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient's medical history

- Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members

- Completing basic inventory activities

- Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs

To qualify, you must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy, and possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

The typical pay range for this role is: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
