## Description

We are seeking a Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) to lead programs that deliver critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms for Capital One customers.

The successful candidate will contribute to the organisation's TPM and delivery strategy, establishing operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and aligning program roadmaps with business objectives, defining technical solutions, and sequencing dependencies

- Leading cross-platform technical investment planning and ensuring architectural alignment towards long-term platform convergence and reuse

- Serving as an executive-level escalation point for program risks and influencing technology leaders to make data-driven trade-offs between speed, cost, and resiliency

- Ensuring definition of measurable outcomes of platform success and delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are:

- McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000

- New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900

- Richmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100

## Skills

### Required
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 7+ years of experience managing technical programs

### Nice to have
- Experience designing and building solutions using distributed computing or service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services, preferably AWS
- Experience building highly scalable products and platforms
- Agile delivery experience
- Experience delivering large and complex programs
- Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
- MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field
- PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
- People management experience or influencing organisation as an IC
- Experience driving platform standardisation across multiple product portfolios or lines of business
- Track record of building TPM maturity
