## Description

Disney Experiences is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who has passion for leading the delivery and execution of product, pricing and offer systems in the roadmap of advancing our core commerce platform.

You will lead other Software Engineers while partnering with product managers and collaborate with other business and technical teams to develop, deliver, and maintain mission critical applications.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor other software engineers across high performing delivery teams.

- Work jointly with solutions architects to set the technical architectural direction while designing and developing specifications for API level interactions.

- Collaborate with other tech teams and businesses across sites for project deliverables.

- Provide technical leadership and oversight of implementation, system integration, quality testing, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions.

- Deliver large or highly complex software systems including Java based services and back-office user interfaces in addition to digital optimization testing of customer facing web and mobile app experiences.

- Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Requirements:

- 7+ years of development experience, preferably full stack, with expertise in Java, Spring Framework, SQL and NoSQL-based databases, GraphQL / Graph DBs, and cloud native applications, preferably in AWS.

- 7+ years managing engineering and technology delivery teams with demonstrated knowledge and working experience with highly scalable architectures, patterns, and technologies.

- Experience managing a globally distributed delivery team utilizing Agile methodologies.

- Good troubleshooting skills for triaging problems in production and test environments.

- Success at achieving sophisticated technology goals on time and on budget.

- Ability to navigate complex organizations across both technology and business teams.

- Excellent written and verbal communications, proven ability to develop and deliver presentations for Executive Management.

- Proven experience managing software development, lifecycle platforms and tools.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domains.

- Experience in travel and hospitality/hotel industries.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field/work experience.
