## About the role

The Finance & Strategy Lead will own the financial strategy for the Claude Platform (API), designing business models and pricing strategies. This role involves working closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to shape the platform's economics.

## Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement the financial strategy for the Claude Platform (API)

- Design and launch new business models and pricing strategies

- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to balance adoption, capacity, and margin

- Analyze and optimize pricing and product decisions with infrastructure and inference teams

- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership

- Define metrics and build dashboards to track pricing and business model performance

- Mentor Product Finance team members

## Minimum qualifications

- Experience in strategic finance, product finance, or a related field

- Hands-on experience with consumption-based or usage-based business models

- Understanding of infrastructure, cloud, or developer platform businesses

- Track record of designing and launching new pricing or business models

- Advanced financial modeling skills and experience with SQL

- Strong communication and analytical skills

- Interest in AI and commitment to Anthropic's mission

## Preferred qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, product finance, or related fields

- Experience pricing APIs, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure services

- Familiarity with enterprise commercial structures and cloud marketplaces

- Background in AI, ML, or related technologies

## Logistics

- Annual salary: $325,000 - $425,000 USD

- Location-based hybrid policy: 25% office time
