## Description

WSP is seeking an Entry Level Assistant Transmission Line Engineer to join their Power Delivery Team in Overland Park, Kansas.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fibre optic additions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV

- Support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been established

- Maintain a project budget and schedule

- Facilitate and adhere to WSP's QA/QC procedures

- Develop transmission line design expertise pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, material procurement, construction specifications, construction methods, construction estimates, and construction support

- Travel to field, as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university (Civil Engineering Preferred)

- Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills

- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)

- Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying

- Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable

- F.E. Exam completion, Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
