## Description

Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Pediatric/PICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The RN directs all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations, incorporating knowledge of patient's age-specific development and cultural values into the plan of care.

The RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care.

**Job Details:**

- Full-time, night shift (7p-7a) position on a state-of-the-art 6-bed Pediatric/PICU unit

- Swing bed unit taking care of general pediatric patients as well as PICU level of care patients

- Most common PICU patients are usually respiratory driven (asthma exacerbation, pneumonia)

- Volume comes largely from the Pediatric ER as well as general pediatric surgeon and pediatric GI

**Qualifications:**

- BCLS and Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

- PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

- Clear and active SC or compact state nursing license

- ASN/BSN

- Prior Pediatric nursing experience is required
