## Description

We are seeking a Target Security Specialist to join our team at 650 Brown Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326-1307. As a Target Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members.

You will be responsible for:

- Supporting sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members at the front of store and on the sales floor

- Leading a physical security culture for our team members and guests by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store

- Responding to and accurately documenting security incidents

- Understanding and leveraging escalation tools for guest issues

- Conducting productive merchandise recoveries and providing apprehension support as needed

- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store by performing receipt checks for exposed high-dollar merchandise

- Submitting appropriate documentation in the system for all incidents

- Understanding and appropriately using the video system

- Training team members to apply merchandise protection and audit execution

- Teaching and training team members on operational shortage focus area opportunities

- Executing shortage action plans set by AP leadership to minimise shortage in focus areas

- Modelling working safely while maintaining a clean store for guests and team members

- Providing service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A high school diploma or equivalent

- To be at least 18 years of age or older

- A welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and other team members

- The ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs

- Effective communication skills

- The ability to work both independently and with a team

- The ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Physical demands include climbing up and down ladders, apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy, scanning, handling and moving merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
