## Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Gainesville Internal Medicine Practice. As an LPN/LVN, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care for our patients.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, instructing patients on sample collection, and obtaining vitals

- Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, and instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions

- Manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/test results

- Schedule tests and treatments, including arranging referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations

- Assist providers with physical exams and preparation for physicals

- Contact pharmacies to order prescriptions and notify patients

- Control inventory and monitor supplies

- Record patient health histories and note abnormal conditions for physicians

- Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurses or physicians

- Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

**Qualifications:**

- Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing required

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred

- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations

- eCW experience is a plus
