## Description

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects at Barclays. The successful candidate will spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.

The purpose of this role is to build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, focusing on measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.

- Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.

- Automation: Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Security: Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats.

- Teamwork: Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

- Learning: Stay informed about industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organisation's technology communities.

**Requirements:**

- Strong experience in Environment Management or DevOps roles

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)

- CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent

- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation

- Linux, networking, and cloud security fundamentals

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience in banking or regulated enterprise environments

- Exposure to cloud migration or platform modernization

- Experience with DR, resilience testing, and security remediation
