## Description

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) to join their Power & Energy team in Overland Park, KS, with consideration for Houston, TX. The successful candidate will provide technical support and leadership for multi-site projects, focusing on power generation, transmission, and distribution.

## Responsibilities

- Produce, coordinate, review, and approve electrical design plans for complex power plant projects

- Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques across all project phases

- Support project scoping, budgeting, and proposals

- Oversee development of power plant electrical drawings and equipment specifications

- Lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects and ensure quality and timeliness

- Assist with engineering reviews and ensure compliance with regulations

- Meet with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to discuss project status

- Ensure technical reports and presentations effectively communicate findings and recommendations

- Develop a client base and identify business development opportunities

- Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

- 10+ years of relevant experience as a power engineer

- Professional Engineer license required

- Highly proficient in power engineering principles, practices, and design/build processes

- Experience with power plant infrastructure design, including Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle Gas Turbines

- Strong knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and lead teams

- Proficiency with technical writing and design software

## Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Engineering

- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER)
