## Description

As an Engineering Manager at Spotify, you will lead a team of skilled engineers distributed across Europe, coaching them individually and as a team to maintain a strong team culture and help them grow. Your technical expertise will provide mentorship and guidelines to ensure high-quality deliveries. You will partner with product managers to prioritize and define product visions, support the engineering team in formulating technical strategies, and occasionally perform hands-on engineering work. Your primary goal is to enable a highly effective engineering team to deliver an exceptional product.

Responsibilities:

- Hire, coach, and develop the careers of a team of engineers.

- Ensure high-quality deliveries.

- Collaborate with product managers to prioritize and define product visions.

- Support the engineering team and work with Staff engineers to formulate technical strategies.

- Perform hands-on engineering work as needed.

Requirements:

- Experience developing great people and cultivating a strong engineering culture in an agile environment.

- Skilled in collaborating on and developing distributed systems that can scale to millions of users.

- Experience with data warehouses and data processing at scale.

- Hands-on experience with commercial SaaS products, specifically taking features from concept to launch.

- Strong people skills and leadership experience as a senior individual contributor.

- Passionate about software engineering best practices and tackling large-scale tech problems.

- Emphasis on product quality and holding people to high standards.

- Familiarity with using AI as a tool to enhance effectiveness.

Location: Stockholm, with flexible work arrangements, including remote work options.
