## Description

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Dispatcher to join our Commercial Collections team in St Albans.

As a Senior Traffic Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of operations in the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. You will ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing day-to-day staff operations to ensure top-tier service delivery

- Optimising routes and disposal outlets for maximum vehicle and facility efficiency

- Ensuring driver availability and coverage in line with legal and company guidelines

- Handling administrative duties, including inputting pay, bonuses, and disposal data

- Overseeing vehicle management, ensuring safe operations and compliance with weight regulations

- Monitoring daily vehicle availability and ensuring drivers complete pre-shift checks

- Supporting cost control by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses

- Completing all dispatch office admin tasks, including timesheets, tachograph records, and payroll

- Working with the Depot Manager to ensure mandatory training and inductions are completed

Essential requirements include:

- Experience of a position of similar responsibility in the Services or Logistics industry

- Experience of managing in a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment is ideal

- Local geographical knowledge

- Experience of first-line operational management
