## Description

### Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Event Operations, leads the operating model behind MongoDB's global Strategic Events portfolio. This leader owns the processes, platforms, planning cadence, and measurement framework that turn portfolio strategy into consistent, high-quality execution at scale.

### Responsibilities

- Lead and develop the Strategic Events Operations team, setting priorities, defining roles and performance standards, coaching and developing team members.

- Design and own the event operating model, defining intake, workflows, governance, service levels, and operating rhythms.

- Translate strategy into execution, partnering with the Director of Global Strategic Events to turn portfolio strategy into team standards and resourcing models.

- Own the events technology and data ecosystem, being accountable for project management tools, event and registration platforms, and reporting systems.

- Build and govern agentic workflows in production, identifying where AI agents and automation can take on work.

- Plan capacity and manage the global events calendar, running capacity planning and balancing workload against company priorities.

- Drive measurement and reporting, partnering with Marketing Ops to define metrics and synthesizing results into clear recommendations.

- Act as the operations partner to Sales, Marketing, and Partner teams, working through competing priorities and process gaps.

- Continuously improve how the work gets done, redesigning roles, consolidating tools, and rebuilding processes.

### Qualifications

- 8+ years in event operations, event marketing, or marketing operations, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.

- Experience leading and developing people in events, marketing, or program operations environments.

- A track record of designing operating models or playbooks for events or marketing organizations.

- Deep expertise with event and registration platforms, project management software, and AI tooling.

- Hands-on experience applying AI and automation to operational workflows.

- Strong analytical skills and fluency with data tools such as Tableau and Salesforce.

- Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- PMP or CPM a plus.
